Our week four Yellow Jersey Winner is Leela Krishna Potluri! Leela has worked hard over the last four weeks and understands the importance of being on time every day. He performed ISO 26262 tests on the electronic throttle with a keen interest and completed the task by considering all failure modes. He is passionate in learning about the safety of vehicles. Leela is a high performer implementing the logics of the engine controller including IC manager, Setpoint manager, State manager and PI controller. He is a good team player as well.
Leela Krishna Potluri has his Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Wright State University with specialization in Control Systems & VLSI and his Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from GITAM University in India. Coming from an agricultural family, he witnessed his father facing difficulties due to an irregular power supply. From childhood, Leela felt a deep desire to develop automation systems that would help make farming easier for his father.
Leela interned at Andhra Pradesh Power Distribution Corporation Limited, India where he designed single line diagrams using AutoCAD. He also gained knowledge on PLC’s and SCADA while serving as an intern at Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, India. He is well versed with MATLAB, Simulink and scripting languages like C and Java. Leela has a published paper in an International Journal related to power systems using MATLAB and Simulink.
LHPU’s training has helped Leela gain practical knowledge on Functional Safety and Embedded Controls. He looks forward to a successful career in the controls domain. During his free time, Leela enjoys bowling, driving and hiking.
