Prabin Shrestha is from the remote country of Nepal. He has always been fascinated with how engineering innovations, such as wireless communication, connect the distant regions in the Himalaya mountains. He is also passionate about how engineering can impact people’s lives.
Prabin earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. While attending to his studies, Prabin also worked as a teaching assistant where he gained valuable experience leading experiments for undergraduate students in the engineering laboratory. He was also an integral part of a project team that developed an embedded system which controlled home appliances using a human voice. Because of these experiences, Prabin has extensive knowledge of engineering tools such as MATLAB, Simulink and Algorithm Development.
In his free time, Prabin loves hiking and spending time with his dog. He is grateful for the opportunity with LHPU and is confident that it will help him transition to a professional career in the automotive industry. Because of his background in applied electromagnetics, he is hopeful he can work with autonomous vehicles in the future.
