Zach McClellan is the President of LHPU, responsible for running the training division. Zach and a few colleagues created LHPU from the ground up, molding it into a training program that increases the worldwide supply of highly qualified controls engineers. His division has partnered with industry experts, prestigious organizations, and academic institutions to provide the best project-based, hands-on engineering training in the automotive industry.
Zach’s background took him from the professional ballfield to the boardroom. He played professional baseball from the years 2000-2010. His baseball career culminated with his promotion to the MLB team, the Colorado Rockies, in 2007. He was a member of the 2007 Colorado Rockies team that won the National League championship and advanced to the World Series.
Zach earned his Bachelor’s degree at Indiana University and holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix in 2008. He also owns and operates Demand Command, a baseball training facility. This experience has given him insight into many parts of the business world. Zach and his wife, Sarah, live in Columbus with their 3 daughters.
Pamela Tartt is the Vice President of LHPU where she facilitates trainings enabling college-educated engineering students to apply their theoretical education in a hands-on controls engineering practical environment.
She comes to LHPU with 10 years of experience in the controls industry where she served as Voice of the Customer for MotoTron and managed accounts for Woodward, Inc. Pamela’s past responsibilities have included sales and marketing of products relating to the MotoHawk model-based design tool, Woodward / MotoTron liaison for the Department of Energy’s Challenge X and EcoCAR programs, and sales and marketing of dual fuel natural gas fueling systems for Skygo, LLC.
Pamela holds a Computer and Information Systems degree from Purdue University and lives in Columbus, Indiana, with her 3 daughters and husband, Jason. She enjoys playing volleyball and spending time outdoors.
John Standeford is the Account Manager for LHPU where he coordinates with manufacturers and staffing firms to place LHPU students within the engineering job market. John also serves as the College Liaison where he coordinates events at colleges and universities, creating awareness and excitement for LHPU.
John comes to LHPU as a former professional athlete and 2006 Super Bowl Champion, from his time with the Indianapolis Colts. He shares his professional football experience with students to inspire them to pursue success in their engineering careers.
His past experience has been in sales and marketing with Lids Team Sports. He understands the value of utilizing personal skills to persevere, stand out, and be a person of integrity. John holds a Bachelor of Arts and Education from Purdue University and lives in Mooresville, Indiana, with his wife, Rachel and their 4 daughters: Ann, Nellie, Coralynn, and Jane.
Michael Cox is the Admissions Director for LHPU where he evaluates applications for admission into LHPU. Michael has been with LHPU for the last 5 years and has been instrumental in developing the LHPU program. He is also assisting in the recruitment of LHPU graduates for the GM and FCA accounts, while developing relationships with potential new staffing firms.
Michael’s background includes recruitment, enabling LHPU to become a resource for placing LHPU graduates. He spent some time working for LER recruiting a diverse variety of engineers while learning about the engineering community.
Michael graduated from Ivy Tech with a degree in computers and lives in Scottsburg, Indiana, with his son, Braxton, daughter, Reese, and wife, Stephanie. He enjoys following Kentucky basketball, golf, and experimenting with new Kentucky bourbon whiskeys.
